The mission of the John Ritter Research Program in Aortic and Vascular Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston is to prevent premature deaths due to thoracic aortic disease by improving diagnosis, treatment, and public awareness. The program aims to do this by identifying the genetic causes of thoracic aortic disease. If you have been diagnosed with a thoracic aortic aneurysm or dissection, or have a family member with this condition, you may qualify for their study. More information is available on the John Ritter Research Program’s website: http://www.johnritterresearchprogram.org/research/.
To find out if you are eligible to participate in the study, send an email to the research program’s genetic counselor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
