Nicole Winstead’s Father-71

Name: Nicole Winstead
Email: winsteadnicole@yahoo.com
Age at time of Dissection: 71
Type of Dissection: Both Ascending and Descending
Date of Aortic Dissection: 13 December 2012
Tell Us Your Story:

My name is Nicole Winstead and I am a different type of survivor of Aortic Dissection. My father fell victim at the age of 71 and died of Aortic Dissection on 12/16/2012. I was left to survive with the pain and confusion of what just happened to him and to me and the ones this condition had left behind. I have decided that through my continued pain and grief in order to make sense of this I must understand it and help others to understand as well.

I do not like the fact this condition is an abrupt and seemingly silent assassin. I would like to educate and help others make sense of what could POSSIBLY be tragic through awareness and education.

Please help me to help you to help us with others who are potentially in danger. Please contact me via email winsteadnicole@yahoo.com or via phone 501-436-9562 (google#)
Thank you for your time…

P.S. the most tragic part for me, my father was a physician and walked into the emergency room diagnosing himself. The signs were there he just did not yell loud enough for help!

Hi! I would love to help in any way I can! My husband, branden bloom is under ascending/descending dissection age 30s! I was so alone during this horrible thing and would of loved to find information on this during that time. He passed away from his second dissection. He had a extremely rare one. His dad died at the age of 39, branden was 32, and after his passing we found out my little 7 year old has the same nasty gene! I do not want her to go through what her dad and grandpa did so I am all for getting the word out!
